Blue-Eyes White Train

Card Image
Card Name: Blue-Eyes White Train LIGHT
Card No: MD4-001, DMT2-133

Level 4: Machine / Effect
This card cannot be Set. This card can only be summoned in Monster Card Zone #1, counting from your left. This card is not destroyed as a result of battle. During each player's End Phase, if this card is in Attack Position, move this card 1 Monster Card Zone to the right. If a monster exists in that Monster Card Zone, it is automatically destroyed, and this card takes its place. If this card is already in Monster Card Zone #5 when it would be moved, Tribute this card to Special Summon up to 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" cards from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, or that have been removed from play in Attack Position.

ATK/ 1000 DEF/ 850

History

Blue-Eyes White Train was given to the winner of the Master of Duels IV tournament in March 2004, which was hosted by the historical Free United Club of Kids earlier that year.

The card was reprinted beginning August 6, 2007 in the DMT2 Tournament Pack, a promotional expansion pack legal during the Cracked Egg Studios-sanctioned Duel Monsters Tournament II.

Artwork: Obviously stolen from the show, but somewhat still cool.

Stats: Light Machine Level 4 with 1000 ATK/850 DEF doesn't do much. You could bring it out via Shining Angel or UFOroid. Of course it is also searchable. And yay, a machine, my favorite.

7/10

Effect: Not being able to be destroyed from battle equals really good. That Monster Card Zone #1 thing gets troublesome when your opponent uses Ground Collapse. The having-to-be-in-attack-mode thing isn't that much of a problem considering all of the protection traps like Magic Cylinder and Sakuretsu Armor. The reward for a successful full effect usage on this card is three Blue-Eyes White Dragons. That's like...awesome. It makes a Polymerization Ultimate Dragon deck much more possible and a Shining Dragon deck even better.

Ease of Use: As said in the Stats review, bringing it out is easy stuff.

Stupid Combo:

Your opponent has Tyrant Dragon on the field and nothing else there. You play Blue-Eyes White Train and Creature Swap. Then, you boost Tyrant Dragon with a Megamorph, because you're down 8000 LP to 3000 LP. Tyrant Dragon double-shots at Train for teh win. Gay-muh End-uh.
