More, Then Professional Installation

Recently Nick commented to me that I need to blog a bit more - funny how just a few months ago that's what I was telling him!
This month we reduced the prices on all VaultWiki products and services (some more significantly than others) in an attempt to dissuade potential customers from their "wait-and-see" stance with respect to the upcoming vBulletin 4.0. While revenues were slightly lower this month, this seems more because of the price decreases, as sales remained relatively unchanged when compared to last month.
VaultWiki was publicly launched a year ago on June 17, which means that the first licenses came up for renewal this past month. The number of renewals that actually occurred is encouraging, because this shows us that users we may not hear from frequently on the forums are actively using and still intend to use VaultWiki in the future.
Despite the fact that total sales have not really changed, it seems that our efforts during these past two and a half months has increased awareness that VaultWiki exists. It has been added to a number of directories (dmoz, for one) and we were happily added to a moderated list of paid vBulletin addons on vbulletinsetup.com.
We launched a number of services including a referral/coupon system, which gives existing customers sales commissions and new customers discounts. After months of behest, we added a more "standard" forum style, so that purveyors can see how VaultWiki integrates into many styles.
In the coming weeks, we plan to open the VaultWiki testimonial/customer reviews section, and we are already taking submissions for this. In July, we will open the VaultWiki Modifications area for third-party addon developers.
Within the next few days, we will be adding a paid "Professional Installation/Upgrade" service. In the past this was included for free with users' support, but it was rarely used for various reasons. Licenses purchased after July 4, 2009 will need to purchase this service as it is no longer offered for free. Users with licenses purchased prior to July 4, 2009 can still take advantage of the service for free until July 31, 2009.
In the mean time, I will try to blog more frequently so that I can go into a little more detail than I was able to today, without making an obscenely long post.
